On October 7, 2016 all of the high schoolers went on a field trip to the diet building with Ms Kimoto, Mr wan and Mr. Brock and also Mr Tighe.
We had to take a bus to the Diet building which is where the government officials of Japan have meetings.
When we arrived at the Diet building in the morning we had to sit in a crowed room and it was also stuffy because it had no air conditioning in the room. While we waited for our tour to start we looked at an exhibit
of the emperor's room. We had a tour guide that spoke Japanese. Ms Kimoto could understand Japanese really well so that she could translate for us because it was all in Japanese. Our field trip began in the large room included where the Japanese government held their meetings to discuss which laws would be the most efficient for their country.
The next room was fascinating because it was the emperor's room which had a courtyard with some koi fish.
It was a fascinating field trip and I wish to go with my family sometime soon!
Wow Muriel! Do you remember when we saw the Senate and House of Representatives in Washington, DC? Did it remind you of that? I've never been in the Diet building here in Japan.
