My final days in Japan

Our family lived in Japan for 2 years. It was a different experience than living in the United States; Malia and I adjusted quickly. We didn't complain.  We had great attitudes!
I enjoyed living in Japan with my family. One of the things I enjoyed the most was walking to school everyday  my own . My route to school was  walking through Rin  Shi no mori Park. At home I always have to carpool with an another student, or Mom or Dad drive me to Stanbridge.
I enjoyed  going to an international school where I met other students from all different countries. I made new friends this year from Nigeria, Japan,  Canada, India, Pakistan, Mexico and Argentina . I hope I can keep in touch with them.
Some of the events I liked at my school were international day because I enjoyed trying food from other countries. The sports days and the movie days were very interesting as well.
Other highlights I enjoyed about Japan:
I really enjoyed having swimming coaches in Japan. I had a great time with Tammy because she made me laugh

Kid Zanina

Back in July, I went to Kid Zania with Ms Kimoto.  Ms Kimoto is a great Japanese teacher at ISS who spent the day with me.  Mom didn't want me to sit around the house while dad had his surgery, she wanted me to go on a fun outing with Ms Kimoto.
Kidzania is an interesting  museum for younger kids so they can select 5 jobs to try out of around 80.  I tried five different Jobs at Kid Zania, including banana farmer , Magician, germ scientist, and salad chef,  but my favorite job was the hip hop instructor. I liked all the kids who participated.
Kidzania is in Tokyo.  I would recommend it to kids  aged 3 to 10 who visit Tokyo.

Interesting experience in Tokyo

Our Family Went To The Tokyo Giants Baseball game With Naoyuki. The Tokyo Giants are quite different from the Sf Giants. They are totaly different because They sing their cheers. And their games they have cheerladers. The one huge difference was that when we saw the Tokyo Giants they were playing in a dome. Another thing that I noticed was that it was very crowded.
Was that we didn't know all The players on The Tokyo Giants But we Recognized one player.
I was very ecxied to go See a Tokyo Giants Baseball Game.

Diversity at ISS

My school is really interesting because there are so many students that come from all over the world.
Many students come from Japan, and a lot come from Nigeria. Other kids come from Switzerland, Denmark, Italy, Mexico, Canada, Netherlands, India and I come from the US.
The most obvious time to see the diversity was at the International Day at Iss.
A lot of students bring different types of food from their home countries and they wear different clothing to represent their countries. You could also see some of this diversity at the ISS variety show because of the different styles of dancing and music.
This has been something that I really enjoy about ISS is getting to know kids from all around the world.

My Visits to Yokohama

I've been to Yokohama three times.  The first time was when we went to meet dad's high school friends. The first time we ate yakiniku for dinner. Yakiniku is a delicious Korean BBQ.

We also went when mom was in Los Angels at a conference. We went to the Landmark Tower and it was a very clear day. We saw all of Tokyo and also Mt. Fuji from the top of the tower.

After we went to the tower, we went to the Cup Noodle museum. We learned a lot of history about the man who made the noodles. He was watching his wife make tempura and he got the idea for how to make dried noodles. My only disappointment was that we didn't make our own noodles.

But we had okonomiyaki for dinner which had noodles.

The most recent time we met the Watanabe family in Yokohama's Chinatown. We were so surprised and we couldn't contain our excitement because we found a panda store. I wish my friend Alix was here in Japan with us because she's crazy about pandas.
